Converting to LPG can save you money for a cruise to somewhere exciting
Although a holiday onboard a ship is not as expensive as you might think and, after taking everything that you get for your money into consideration, can actually be a very cost effective way to take a break, it still counts as a fairly large chunk of money for many people. If you have always wanted to go on a cruise however, and do not want to wait until you have retired, then converting your car so that it runs on liquefied petroleum gas rather than regular petrol, can save you up to 40 percent on fuel costs over time. If you use your car quite a lot then this can soon add up to a significant amount of money which you can put toward the cost of your adventure on the high seas. Whatever car you currently own, the chances are that it can be converted quite easily as a wide variety of models of all ages have already had the conversion successfully done.

A cruise is a nice way to treat yourself with the money you will save, and you will still have the satisfaction of knowing that you are using a fuel alternative that is kinder to the environment than petrol or diesel. The reason why it is, much cheaper than either petrol or diesel to buy is because it attracts a lower rate of tax as the government recognises that it should be encouraging people to switch over to a fuel that has less impact on the natural world. If you are very concerned about the impact the things you choose to do have on the environment then you will be pleased to know that many cruise companies are looking at ways they can minimise their carbon footprints and how to deal with the large amounts of waste generated on each trip in a more environmentally friendly manner. Whilst it is true that a large vessel uses an awful lot of diesel to propel itself through the water and supply power all over the ship, the largest can carry thousands of passengers at one time, whereas many people still drive a car on their own, with no passengers at all.
Passing in the beautiful place
Obviously it is a lot easier for a cruise company to organise several thousand people who all want to go to the same places than it is for individual car owners to find people to share the fuel costs with, but every little helps and an LPG conversion is a step in the right direction, both environmentally and financially. It is of course dependent on the amount of miles that you drive and the miles per gallon that you currently get, but on average, it takes only a year or less to recoup the cost of converting your vehicle to use liquefied petroleum gas. After that it is all genuine savings that you can put toward the cruise you are planning to take, or some other treat that you have been promising yourself for a while.
